Gyeonggi-do Introduces Government Electronic Payment System 'Hado-geup Jikimi' Starting This Year

Strengthening Policy Consistency to Eradicate Construction Project Payment Delays

Gyeonggi-do Introduces Government Electronic Payment System 'Hado-geup Jikimi' Starting This Year Gyeonggi Provincial Government Northern Office

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province announced on the 22nd that it will discontinue the use of its self-operated "Gyeonggi Province Payment Confirmation System" starting this year and will utilize the government's electronic payment system for subcontractors, "Hadogeupjikimi."

This measure is to complement the limitations of the existing "Payment Confirmation System" and is in line with the government's "Direct Wage Payment System" policy aimed at eradicating wage arrears for construction site workers.

In particular, it will resolve user confusion caused by the different processing methods between the two systems and the issue of erroneous payments due to the inability to share accounts.

Additionally, while there were only 10 financial partner institutions previously, using the government system will increase this by 7, allowing access to services from a total of 17 affiliated financial institutions.

Furthermore, it is expected to reduce related budgets such as costs for improving and maintaining the existing "Payment Confirmation System."

The province expects that this measure will help prevent user confusion in system usage and strengthen consistency with government policies.
