[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Kyobo Securities announced on the 21st that it donated 100 million won to help overcome the disaster caused by wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions.
Kyobo Securities held the 'Dream Donation Event to Help Neighbors Affected by Wildfires' from the 14th to the 16th of this month. The event was conducted through the company intranet, allowing employees to voluntarily donate amounts ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 won. Employees collectively raised about 16 million won, and with the company’s contribution, a total of 100 million won was raised.
The donation was delivered to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization. The funds will be used for the restoration of the affected areas and relief for the residents.
Previously, in 2019, Kyobo Securities also donated 100 million won for relief efforts for wildfire victims in Gangwon Province, with voluntary participation from employees.
Lee Seok-ki, CEO of Kyobo Securities, expressed, "We extend our sincere condolences to the residents who lost their precious homes due to the wildfires," and added, "We hope this will help the affected areas recover quickly so that residents can return to their daily lives."
