[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Political commentator Yoo Chang-sun expressed concern on the 20th about President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's decision to relocate to Yongsan. He warned that it could trigger severe division rather than national unity.
On the same day, Yoo stated on social media (SNS), "Ultimately, the decision was made to move the presidential office to the Yongsan Ministry of National Defense building," adding, "The concern is that half of the people who opposed Yoon Seok-yeol's administration will rally again, providing an opportunity to voice criticism and opposition."
He noted, "Just as the mad cow disease incident occurred early in Lee Myung-bak's administration, various problems arising from the hasty relocation to the Ministry of National Defense building will continue to surface," and warned, "Media coverage of these issues tends to overshadow attention to other matters."
He criticized, "At a time when a message of unity should be presented, the result was a choice that caused division," adding, "Although the move was said to be for communication, it was actually a decision made without knowing how to communicate. The first button was fastened incorrectly at the start."
