[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Kwon Chang-hwan, head of the Sanghwang Mushroom Research Institute and industry-academic cooperation professor at Dongmyung University, a tenant company of the Dongmyung University Startup Incubation Center, donated 10 million KRW to the university’s development fund on the 16th.


This is the first donation commemorating the smooth sales of the product ‘Dongmyung Sanghwang Mushroom Extract,’ developed through industry-academic cooperation.


The Sanghwang mushroom product, ‘Dongmyung Sanghwang Mushroom Extract,’ was developed by the Dongmyung University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Startup Incubation Center by boiling domestic Sanghwang mushrooms to preserve their components and taste, and packaging them in pouches for easy drinking. The product is mainly sold online.


Thanks to promotions featuring vocalist Kim Dong-gyu as a model and sales support from President Jeon Ho-hwan, it has achieved considerable sales on platforms such as Naver and Coupang.


To commemorate the first online sales and the first donation to the Dongmyung University development fund, an event is being held where the first 100 customers who purchase one box online and leave a review will receive 5 kg of Andong apples worth approximately 30,000 KRW.


President Jeon Ho-hwan stated, “We will continue various support for the development and distribution of diverse product lines of Dongmyung Sanghwang Mushroom, which is the fruit of industry-academic cooperation development.”


Dongmyung Sanghwang Mushroom Extract is a liquid product developed with the participation of professors majoring in medical engineering, food nutrition, and business administration, centered on the Dongmyung University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.
