[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Geumcheon-gu has deployed safety guardians at all elementary schools in the area to create a safe route for students to go to and from school.

On the 17th, Yuseonghun, the mayor of Geumcheon-gu, inspected the traffic facilities around Gasan Elementary School's school routes and encouraged the safety guardian workers.

Geumcheon-gu has assigned 250 "Elementary School Safe Route Guardians" to 18 elementary schools in the area. They are responsible for ensuring safe commutes by guiding traffic safety at key points such as crosswalks.

The elementary school safe route guardians consist of local seniors dispatched from the Geumcheon Senior Club and Geumcheon Hoam Senior Welfare Center, which are organizations promoting the senior employment project "Senior Social Activity Support Project" led by Geumcheon-gu.

Mayor Yuseonghun of Geumcheon-gu said, "The traffic guidance by the safety guardians will greatly help prevent traffic accidents during school commutes," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create school routes where both children and parents can feel safe."
