[Featured Stock] HanbitSoft Rises on Samsung's 'Metaverse-Robot' Announcement

[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] HanbitSoft is showing strong performance on the 17th following Samsung Electronics' announcement of metaverse and robots as new growth engines.

As of 10:17 AM on the 17th, HanbitSoft is trading at 5,050 KRW, up 6.41% (305 KRW) compared to the previous day.

The strong performance today appears to be related to the company's past collaboration with Samsung Electronics in establishing a virtual reality (VR) sports classroom.

In 2018, HanbitSoft promoted a VR sports classroom targeting elementary schools in partnership with CodeRich and Samsung Electronics.

The VR sports classroom refers to a space where users can enjoy VR-implemented sports in a safe environment protected from fine dust, yellow dust, and abnormal weather conditions, using omnidirectional cameras that recognize movement and screens.

CodeRich is a company that develops immersive VR sports content simulators such as soccer, baseball, and golf, and has filed patents for multi-sport implementations in VR. HanbitSoft has developed and released VR and augmented reality (AR) games over the past several years and has also developed educational content.

Samsung Electronics added the latest IT devices such as the highest-spec Odyssey PCs, tablets, and wireless APs, as well as home appliances like air purifiers and air conditioners, to the VR sports classroom.
