[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the 16th, President Moon Jae-in exchanged congratulatory letters with Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Luxembourg.


In the letter, President Moon emphasized that Luxembourg participated in the Korean War before establishing diplomatic ties in 1962, and that Korea will forever remember Luxembourg's support and sacrifice. He also expressed hope that the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations would lead to enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, as well as deeper cooperation.


Grand Duke Henri congratulated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, which began with Luxembourg's participation in the Korean War, and expressed his hope that the partnership between the two countries would be further strengthened to contribute to the shared values of world peace and democracy.
