[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Air Busan announced on the 15th that it will suspend flights to and from Vladivostok, Russia until mid-next month. The airline currently operates the Incheon~Vladivostok route once every two weeks on Saturdays.
This measure follows the intensification of international sanctions against Russia after its invasion of Ukraine. Six flights scheduled from the 19th of this month to April 15th have been canceled. Flights after the 29th of next month will be decided upon after assessing passenger safety.
The company stated, "Passenger safety, which must be the top priority, is a concern, and stable operation of the local airport cannot be guaranteed, making it unavoidable to suspend flights," adding, "We will monitor the situation and decide when to resume operations."
