Samsung C&T's 'Kooho Plus' Opens First Official Offline Store at The Hyundai Seoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samsung C&T Fashion Division's contemporary brand Kuho Plus opened its first official offline store on the basement level 2 of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul on the 10th, the company announced on the 14th.

Samsung C&T Fashion Division launched the women's wear brand Kuho Plus in September 2019 to respond to changes in the distribution market due to the growth of online channels and to target the millennial generation, which has emerged as a new consumer base.

Kuho Plus differentiates its brand value through a concept based on modern minimalism combined with a unique youthful sensibility, structural silhouettes, refined unique designs, and high-quality materials and craftsmanship.

Kuho Plus has been conducting business through online channels such as the fashion and lifestyle specialty mall SSF Shop, while periodically operating pop-up stores in key distribution channels that attract the attention of the millennial generation.

Kuho Plus's first offline store is located on basement level 2 of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, a popular spot among the target MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), with a size of approximately 66 square meters (about 20 pyeong). The store concept was set as ‘Carved Blue.’ The brand’s pursuit of minimal and three-dimensional silhouettes is reflected in the structure and form of the space. Additionally, the brand’s signature blue color was used as a unique point to express the brand’s sensibility.

Kuho Plus arranged The Hyundai Seoul store with the 2022 spring season collection. It introduced popular new outerwear items such as button-detail semi-over fit jackets, button-point short trench coats, and fake leather jackets.

Other items include shirts with asymmetrical sleeve cuffs as a point, square neck knit pullovers, slip dresses suitable for layering, slim baggy fit denim pants and semi-wide pants with structural silhouettes, as well as accessories such as strap bucket hats and mini eco bags.

Park Young-mi, head of the women's wear business division, said, “Starting with The Hyundai Seoul store, Kuho Plus has officially entered the offline market beyond online. We will continue to establish the brand as one that offers attractive value to millennial customers through strategic channel diversification that creates synergy between online and offline.”
