Honam University and Korea Cultural Industry Development Sign Mutual Growth Agreement

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Honam University LINC+ Project Group (Director Yang Seung-hak) announced on the 11th that it signed a business agreement with Korea Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Young-mi) to promote mutual development through the establishment of a close cooperative system for the LINC 3.0 project.


This agreement added synergy to field-oriented talent cultivation education by linking three departments: the Department of Culinary Arts (Department Head Kim Young-gyun, Professors Lee Seung-ik and Song Ki-hee), the Department of Hotel Management (Department Head Lee Hee-seung), and the Department of Beauty and Cosmetology (Department Head Jeon Hyun-jin, Professor Yoon Hee).


Based on this agreement, both organizations plan to mutually cooperate in academic education and research for industries, support for professional manpower required by industries, employment of excellent students trained through education and practice, promotion of cooperative projects between parties, and exchanges.


Yang Seung-hak, Director of the LINC+ Project Group, said, “Honam University is interested not only in the energy and automobile industries but also in the cultural content sectors such as K-Food and K-Beauty industries. We have signed an agreement with Culture Hotel Raum (Korea Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd.), which recently opened near the National Asia Culture Center, and we will strive to ensure that industry-academia collaborative education achieves effective results.”


Seo Dong-gyun, Chairman of Korea Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd., said, “We are grateful to sign an agreement with Honam University, which is successfully promoting industry-academia cooperation, and we ask you to focus on fostering talent needed in the field.”


Meanwhile, Korea Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. is a company recently operating Culture Ram Hotel, centered on seminars and meetings in Dong-gu, along with a Beauty Academy and lifelong education business.
