Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk has completed the installation of night landscape lighting at the Jang Gye-hyang Cultural Experience Education Center.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] The nighttime scenery of Jang Gye-hyang Cultural Experience Education Center, a hands-on educational attraction in Yeongyang, Gyeongbuk, has completely transformed.
Yeongyang County announced on the 10th that it has installed night landscape lighting for tourists and participants.
The installation of landscape lighting has been completed along a 1.8 km section from the entrance of the access road to the perimeter of the education center and the walking trail. Unlike the landscape lighting of modern buildings and sculptures, lighting was installed on traditional hanok houses, offering a nighttime view that enhances the charm of traditional hanok architecture.
The education center’s landscape lighting uses self-installed solar-powered LED lights, resulting in budget and energy savings. There is no need for separate management such as turning the power on and off. Additionally, the eco-friendly solar LED lighting does not interfere with plant growth and has no risk of fire.
This landscape lighting is expected to provide visitors who come to Jang Gye-hyang Cultural Experience Education Center in spring with an additional visual attraction.
Kim Geun-ho, Director of the Cultural Facilities Project Office, said, “We hope this becomes a memorable tourist spot for visitors to the education center,” and added, “We will continue to promote projects that provide various attractions not only through landscape lighting but also for tourists and residents.”
