Investigation of Confirmed Cases' Votes Not Reflected from 6 AM to 6 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] KBS, MBC, and SBS, the three terrestrial broadcasters, will jointly announce the exit poll results for the 20th presidential election held on the 9th at 7:30 PM on the same day.
According to the Korea Broadcasting Association on the 8th, the three terrestrial broadcasters will conduct exit polls from 6 AM to 6 PM on the 9th and release the results at 7:30 PM.
Accordingly, voting by confirmed COVID-19 patients and quarantined individuals, which takes place from 6 PM, will not be reflected in the exit polls.
The exit polls will be conducted at 330 polling stations targeting voters as they finish voting, using a method of surveying every 5th person. The number of respondents to the exit polls is expected to be about 85,000.
In this election, the comprehensive programming channel JTBC will also conduct an exit poll independently. The survey time and result announcement time are the same as those of the terrestrial broadcasters.
