Doosan Donates 500 Million KRW for Wildfire Recovery Support in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk


[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Doosan Group announced on the 6th that it will donate 500 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to help recover from the large-scale wildfires that damaged the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions and to support the disaster victims.


The donation will be used to provide daily necessities to the disaster victims, operate evacuation facilities, and support recovery activities. A Doosan official said, "We hope this will help the local residents affected by the sudden wildfires to quickly restore their daily lives, even if only a little."


Doosan has consistently provided support during disasters, including donations to overcome COVID-19 in 2020, support for recovery from the Gangwon wildfires in 2019, and aid for recovery from the Pohang earthquake in 2017. It has also provided donations and recovery equipment for disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons overseas in countries including the United States, Indonesia, Haiti, China, and the Philippines.
