[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is launching the ‘2022 Ulsan Youth Job-Seeking Support Fund’ project as part of its initiative to create a city that attracts young people.
This project, supported by Ulsan City since 2019, aims to assist unemployed youth facing job search difficulties.
The support targets 120 unemployed youth aged 19 to 34 residing in Ulsan. Eligibility requires a household income between 120% (6,145,000 KRW for a family of four) and 150% (7,682,000 KRW for a family of four) of the median income.
The support amount is 300,000 KRW per month for six months from May to October, totaling 1,800,000 KRW. Additionally, youth who find employment while receiving the support will be given a 300,000 KRW employment congratulatory bonus.
However, those who have previously received the Ulsan Youth Job-Seeking Support Fund are excluded, and applicants already receiving job-seeking allowances from the government or local authorities are not eligible.
If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of household income, duration of unemployment, proactiveness in job seeking, and willingness to participate in job-seeking programs.
Applications can be submitted online via the Ulsan Job Portal or in person at the Ulsan Job Foundation from March 7 to March 25.
