[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, has opened the ‘2022 Women’s Center Education’ program, operated to enhance the skills development and socio-economic participation opportunities for its residents.
This education program offers a total of 17 courses based on last year’s demand survey for desired subjects, including 8 courses for national and private certification acquisition and 9 courses for technical skills and hobbies.
Courses for national and private technical certification acquisition include ▲Korean Cuisine Chef (12 participants) ▲Tailoring Technician (7 participants) ▲Computer Practical Course (14 participants) ▲Silver Cognitive Instructor (7 participants) ▲Total Craft Instructor (10 participants) ▲Rice Cake Manufacturing Technician (12 participants) ▲Calligraphy Certification (16 participants) ▲Wood Carving Level 2 (16 participants), with classes being held.
Technical skills and hobby courses include ▲Hand Knitting (Upcycling, 10 participants) ▲Self Haircare (Home Beauty Techniques, 11 participants) ▲French Embroidery (13 participants) ▲Hand Drip Coffee Class (6 participants) ▲Home Fashion (Evening, 10 participants) ▲Solo Meal Cooking (Evening, 12 participants) ▲Gukseondo (Evening, 11 participants) ▲Ballet Pilates (Evening, 11 participants) ▲Drawing (Evening Class, 15 participants), with a total of 193 students attending classes.
Last year, 285 students completed 19 courses, achieving 35 certification acquisitions and 22 employment outcomes.
Additionally, through volunteer clubs led by Women’s Center students, they played a leading role in collaborative welfare activities such as preparing birthday meals for elderly living alone, making signboards for senior centers, and producing and delivering food packages for the Lunar New Year.
