Starting from the 2nd, Dongmyung University began implementing a motivation semester system for freshmen over one month using a hybrid method combining face-to-face and metaverse formats to enhance understanding of majors and career paths as well as learning motivation.
The university’s motivation semester system, the only credit-recognized program in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region, offers various experiences such as ▲ meetings between professors, seniors, and peers by department ▲ campus tours ▲ departmental explorations, senior lectures, major experiences, group activities to enhance cooperation and sense of belonging ▲ and production of song, dance, theater, and UCC by each college.
There will also be a ‘Special Talk Show’ involving the president, Dongmyung University Chair Professor and national singer Insooni, college deans, freshmen, and current students.
Public Relations Director Koo Ja-hwi said, “Starting with passionate communication and sharing between the president and students, this is an energetic early step toward challenges, experiences, and practices (Do-ing) for change and innovation.”
