"Starting with Me: Following Traffic Rules!" ... Gyeongnam Office of Education's Traffic Safety Campaign for Children on the First School Day of the New Year On the 2nd, the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education is conducting traffic safety promotion activities at the main gate of Wolseong Elementary School in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City.

The campaign, launched under the slogan "Let's protect children's traffic safety together!", was organized to encourage drivers and pedestrians to comply with traffic safety rules and to raise awareness about safety management.


Participants included Superintendent of Education Park Jong-hoon, Changwon Education Support Office Director Lee Sang-rak, Masanhappo-gu Mayor Park Myung-jong, Masan Jungbu Police Station Chief Park Do-young, related organizations, and civilian groups such as the Gyeongnam Green Mothers' Association and the Gyeongnam Model Drivers' Federation.

The campaign focused on traffic safety rules that drivers and pedestrians must follow, such as adhering to the 30 km/h speed limit and no parking or stopping in school zones, not running at crosswalks, and not using mobile phones while walking.


It also featured eye-catching and unique promotions, such as student traffic guidance like "Cross the crosswalk safely with students" and wearing a "turtle costume" to encourage slow driving.


The Gyeongnam Office of Education plans to produce promotional videos about traffic safety and driver safety rules within school zones.


In cooperation with related organizations such as the Autonomous Police Committee, Gyeongnam Provincial Government, and Gyeongnam Police Agency, they also plan to create safe school routes by improving traffic facilities.


Superintendent Park Jong-hoon stated, "Most traffic accidents can be prevented by following basic traffic safety rules," and added, "Safe school routes start with all drivers and students adhering to traffic safety rules."
