'The Channel of South Korea's Marine Leisure Industry,' the Gyeonggi International Boat Show, will be held from March 11 to 13 at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1, Halls 4 and 5, and Gimpo Aramarina.

Held simultaneously with the Korea International Fishing Expo at KINTEX Hall 3, this year's Gyeonggi International Boat Show boasts an even richer array of attractions. Pre-registration is open until March 4, and the online exhibition hall is continuously operating, allowing anyone to easily explore participating companies and products.

Various conferences are prepared as side events. On March 11, at Boat Show Conference Room A, there will be diverse lectures including “Experience of Exporting Catamaran Sailing Yachts to the U.S. and Challenges for Brand Establishment” by CEO Jeong Kyung-woo of Scomtec Co., Ltd., “The Road from Last Place to First” by CEO Jeong Il-kwon of Starmarine Co., Ltd., and “Introduction to Support Projects for Overseas Market Development of Small and Medium Shipyards” by Deputy Manager Lim Jae-min of the Korea Small and Medium Shipbuilding Cooperative. In Conference Room B, lectures by representatives of Yacht Tale Co., Ltd., Dream Yacht Co., Ltd., and Star Boat Co., Ltd. will focus on the importance of docking facilities for safe boating and yachting.

On March 12, under the theme “Marine Leisure, Into Various Information and Knowledge,” Conference Room A will host lectures on fishing, marine culture, and marine tourism, while Conference Room B will continue with lectures on basic knowledge necessary for boat users. The Open Conference Hall will feature documentary director lectures and panel discussions on marine environment and surface-effect ships.

On March 13, lectures will be held in Conference Room A covering topics from beginner yachting to engine management, and in Conference Room B on Basic Knowledge 2 for boat users. At the Open Conference Hall, attendees can hear marine leisure stories from fishing pro Choi Woon-jung.

Additionally, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) experience event conducted by Boating Journal is available. Participants can experience CPR in groups of three and receive certificates. Star Boat plans to hold various events that will capture the attention of visitors interested in boats or fishing, including durability tests of fishing gear and casting competitions in a large aquarium set up within the venue.

The Gyeonggi International Boat Show Secretariat stated, “Interest and support for the Gyeonggi International Boat Show, held offline for the first time in three years, are very enthusiastic. We will do our best to ensure the event proceeds safely and successfully, and we hope this will be an opportunity to further elevate the status of the Gyeonggi International Boat Show, which is considered one of Asia’s top three boat shows.”

Meanwhile, detailed information regarding exhibition attendance, including venue quarantine guidelines and side events, will be continuously updated on the Gyeonggi International Boat Show website.
