[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Director Lee Chung-hyun's short film 'Body Price' will be produced on the online video service (OTT) TVING. His partner, actress Jeon Jong-seo, will also appear.
On the 24th, TVING announced, "'Body Price' will be produced as a new original series," and confirmed the casting of Jin Seon-gyu and Jeon Jong-seo.
Based on the short film of the same name, 'Body Price' depicts a story set in a building where body price negotiations were taking place for various reasons, when a massive earthquake strikes. It portrays a ruthless struggle for survival among humans stepping on and being stepped on in the chaos created by complete isolation from the outside world.
Reborn as a TVING original, 'Body Price' will be directed and scripted by Jeon Woo-sung. The story will be expanded by combining the original's charm with a new worldview, and each episode will be filmed using the one-take technique (One Take: filming continuously without cuts).
Jin Seon-gyu plays Noh Hyung-soo, who gets caught in an unexpected crisis while negotiating the body price. After narrowly escaping the sudden earthquake, he becomes trapped in the collapsed building and fights again for survival. He said, "When I heard that it would be filmed using the one-take technique, I really wanted to try it."
Jeon Jong-seo plays Park Joo-young, a negotiation expert who does not discriminate targets. She said, "It is meaningful to take on one pillar of 'Body Price,' which will be reborn with a new character."
