According to the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul on the 23rd, officer A, an active-duty police officer, was caught by the police after causing an accident while driving under the influence around 12:10 a.m. on the 22nd and fleeing the scene.

Officer A was confirmed to be an active-duty police officer belonging to the Gwangjin Police Station, which has jurisdiction over the location where he was apprehended.

Officer A is suspected of rear-ending a mid-sized car ahead of him, abandoning his vehicle, and attempting to leave the scene. At the time, Officer A's blood alcohol concentration was measured at a level warranting license cancellation due to severe intoxication.

In this regard, the Gwangjin Police Station stated, "Officer A is currently suspended from duty."
