[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Wemade announced on the 23rd that it will onboard Redfox Games' 'Kingdom Hunter' onto the WEMIX platform.
'Kingdom Hunter' is a mobile strategy trading card game (TCG) currently in development, following the previous title 'Legions' released through Hangame in 2014. The development team, including CEO Jeongdae Lee of the subsidiary Ttrigger, has been preparing for three years. Based on unique systems such as hero capture and persuasion, reputation system, and heroes' special stats, players grow cities and heroes to cooperate with alliance members and wage war on a vast world map battlefield.
Redfox Games is a global game company headquartered in San Jose, USA, providing game publishing services targeting North America, South America, and Europe since 2015. It has approximately 1.7 million cumulative registered users and has established itself as the number one MMORPG operator in the South American market through localized marketing of 'Black Desert.' It is the first overseas game company to confirm onboarding to the WEMIX platform.
In addition to game publishing, Redfox Games is also active as an infrastructure setup and consulting specialist developer and mobile game development partner based on solid technology and know-how. This year, they plan to first target the South American market with 'Kingdom Hunter' and then expand globally to North America, Europe, and beyond.
Son Kyungwan, CEO of Redfox Games, expressed his determination to capture the South American market, saying, “We expect successful penetration of the South American market through cooperation with Wemade,” and added, “We have recently felt the high interest of South American users in blockchain games, and we are confident that 'Kingdom Hunter' can be better promoted through the WEMIX platform.”
Jang Hyunguk, CEO of Wemade, stated, “WEMIX is the only blockchain game platform currently operating with a complete set of coin, non-fungible tokens (NFT), and DeFi,” and added, “We will actively support 'Kingdom Hunter' to succeed not only in the South American service but also in the global market as a whole.”
Wemade aims to service 100 games using WEMIX as the base currency by the end of this year.
