5.5 Million Won Support for Children in Care Blind Spots
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The National Health Insurance Service Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters delivered a social contribution fund of 5.5 million won for the ‘On-gi DREAM Children's Restaurant’ project at the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation Busan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center on the 21st.
The social contribution fund delivered to the children's restaurant will be used for a project that provides meals and care to children from families experiencing care gaps, such as single-parent and dual-income households, alleviating the burden of childcare.
Also, this year, the target of support will be expanded compared to the previous year, and the organization plans to continuously identify children in welfare blind spots, according to an official from the Service.
Jang Su-mok, the head of the regional headquarters, said, “I am glad that children, the future dream trees, can continue to have quality and warm meals through the children's restaurant,” and added, “We will spare no support for the healthy growth of children.”
The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters is engaged in social contribution activities for the healthy growth of children and adolescents, such as providing childcare supplies to low-income families with multiple children and supporting the independence of marginalized youth.
