Resuming Hiring After 7 Years Amid Order Surge... [Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Hyundai Heavy Industries is set to hire production technology workers for the first time in seven years in preparation for an increase in shipbuilding volume this year. Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, under Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, is also recruiting for the first time in eight years.


According to the business community on the 15th, Hyundai Heavy Industries is recruiting employees who have worked for more than three years at in-house partner companies of the Hyundai Heavy Industries Group across four job categories: fabrication, piping, machinery, and electrical, until the 27th of this month.


Applicants can submit their applications through the Hyundai Heavy Industries Group talent recruitment website, and will undergo document screening, skill evaluation, personality tests, and interviews.


Hyundai Mipo Dockyard is hiring production technology workers for the first time in eight years. Until the 27th, recruitment is open through the group’s talent recruitment website for five job categories: hull welding, hull fitting, piping, electrical, and machinery.


A Hyundai Heavy Industries official stated, "Securing excellent technical personnel is essential to ensure future competitiveness," adding, "In addition to open recruitment, we will nurture and secure new technical personnel through programs such as technical traineeships."
