Danggeun Market (co-CEOs Kim Yong-hyun and Kim Jae-hyun) announced on the 14th that it will expand its local-based easy payment service, Danggeun Pay, to a nationwide service.
Danggeun Pay, developed by Danggeun Pay, a subsidiary of Danggeun Market, is a simple remittance and payment service that not only enhances remittance convenience during secondhand transactions between neighbors but also allows payments when using various lifestyle convenience services on Danggeun Market. It was first introduced in the Jeju area last November, and during the first three months of service operation, more than 10% of all secondhand transactions in Jeju used Danggeun Pay. The nationwide expanded Danggeun Pay has two main functions: 'remittance' and 'payment.' First, when using Danggeun Pay in secondhand transaction situations with neighbors, real-time remittance is possible within Danggeun chat without the need for separate banks or remittance apps. Sellers can also immediately check the remittance result on the chat screen. There is no longer a need to prepare cash or exchange personal information such as account numbers or account holders on the street between transaction parties. The remittance fee for secondhand transactions via Danggeun Pay is 100% free.
The secondhand transaction remittance function can be found in the 'More (+)' area at the bottom of the Danggeun chat screen. It can only be used through the remittance function provided in the official Danggeun Market chat room, preventing damage from fraud attempts that lure users with fake payment pages disguised as external links.
Along with the nationwide launch, the operation of Danggeun Pay's payment service is also set to be intensified. This includes 'Gift,' which allows users to send mobile coupons to neighbors via Danggeun chat, local commerce and lifestyle-oriented partnership services found in the 'Near Me' tab of Danggeun Market, and plans to provide a unique payment experience based on Danggeun Pay's proprietary technology at various offline local stores.
