"If I don't do this, I'm afraid I'll regret it terribly later"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Actor Park Hyuk-kwon has declared his support for Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
On the 6th, Park Hyuk-kwon stated, "If I don't do this, I might regret it tremendously later, and that scares me, so I'm timidly showing my face."
He graduated from the Department of Theater at Seoul Institute of the Arts and gained great popularity for his role as Gil Taemi in the drama 'Six Flying Dragons.'
Park emphasized his long-standing connection by saying, "I have been watching candidate Lee Jae-myung since he was the mayor of Seongnam." He continued, "I wondered for a long time whether he could make rational and wise decisions on our behalf, and whether he could uphold our dignity in any position representing us. After much thought, my conclusion is 'yes.'"
He added, "Honestly, I have believed that an actor's virtue is to minimize exposure except when playing roles," and said that these days, feeling somewhat uneasy, he is publicly declaring his support.
