[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is supporting customized consulting from data specialist companies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping them grow.

Incheon TP announced on the 2nd that it received the highest 'Excellent' rating in the national evaluation of the 'SME Big Data Analysis and Utilization Support Project.'

The project connects SMEs with data specialist companies that have big data analysis solutions to assist companies in analyzing and utilizing big data. Incheon TP has been carrying out this project since 2020, having been selected for two consecutive years through a public contest by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).

Last year, Incheon TP invested 500 million KRW in the project to provide customized consulting from data specialist companies to 28 SMEs in the Incheon area facing difficulties in utilizing big data due to lack of expertise and cost issues.

EcoLant Co., Ltd., a smart streetlight developer, more than doubled its sales through this support, and JMI NTL Co., Ltd., a manufacturer specializing in baby products, significantly accelerated the launch of new products.

Modu Platform Co., Ltd., a platform service provider; TPC Mechatronics Co., Ltd., the largest domestic manufacturer of pneumatic devices; and Wooyoung Hydraulic Co., Ltd., a developer of hydraulic cylinders, all enhanced their market competitiveness by improving production management efficiency.

Burnit Co., Ltd., a developer of exercise app services, and Eight Tech Co., Ltd., a developer of AI-based waste classification systems, increased work efficiency and succeeded in attracting investment, aiming to expand their businesses.

An Incheon TP official stated, "Through this support project, companies are creating new business opportunities and enhancing their competitiveness," adding, "We plan to continuously support the activation of data utilization and business model transformation for companies in the Incheon area."
