Gangnam-gu Newsletter 'Gangnam Life' Print and Webzine Revamp

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has completely revamped the print and webzine of the monthly newsletter ‘Gangnam Life’ February issue.

First, the changes in content catch the eye.

The pages, which were mainly focused on district office projects, are now filled with various sections such as ‘Gangnam In’ introducing the lifestyles of famous Gangnam-gu personalities, ‘Company Exploration’ introducing local businesses, and ‘2022 Trends’ and ‘Culture Insight’ analyzed by critics Kim Heon-sik and Ha Jae-geun. A new section called ‘Senior Life Briefing’ with larger font size was also established to make information more accessible for the elderly.

Opportunities for reader participation have also expanded. The number of honorary reporters, which was 28 previously, has increased to 55 this year, aiming to provide on-site, community-driven content. The monthly themed literary participation corner, photo, and coloring events remain unchanged.

The upgraded webzine is also worth noting. By adopting a user-centered UI (User Interface), it provides an optimized environment and enhances webzine functionality by utilizing vivid content such as motion graphics and videos.

Lee Ki-ho, Director of Policy Promotion Office, said, “Since the 7th elected term, Gangnam-gu has archived all content published in newsletters from the first issue of ‘Gangnam Kkachi News’ launched in August 1995 to the present,” adding, “By organizing newsletters that have been neglected for nearly 30 years, following photos and videos, you can see the flow of modern Gangnam history at a glance.”
