Kim Urges Unity to Support Democratic Party Candidate Lee Jae-myung's Presidential Victory

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] The Democratic Party of Korea Mokpo City Regional Committee announced on the 28th that it held a welcome meeting inviting recently reinstated members from the Mokpo area, chaired by National Assembly member Kim Won-i of the local constituency.
The meeting was attended by a total of 21 reinstated members, including 13 attendees such as former Jeonnam Provincial Assembly members Kim Tak and Go Kyungseok, and Mokpo City Council members Jang Boksung, Jo Seong-o, Moon Chabok, and Kim Gwiseon, who are among those allowed to run in the upcoming June 1 local elections.
Assemblyman Kim Won-i said at the meeting, “I am grateful and reassured that the long-time comrades of the Democratic Party in the Mokpo area, who were once one root, are joining together for candidate Lee Jae-myung’s presidential victory,” and emphasized, “Since the election is unpredictable, let us unite our urgent hearts for Korea’s great leap forward.”
Among the reinstated members, City Councilman Jo Seong-o responded, “I am very pleased to be able to overcome the crisis we face and work together to build a new Korea, and I will concentrate all my efforts in the remaining time to ignite the enthusiasm for presidential victory starting from Mokpo.”
