[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province will launch the 'Gumi Matjip' website and Android mobile app, with official service starting from the 3rd of next month.

The Gumi Matjip project, a citizen participation pledge initiative, has been designating and managing 100 representative Gumi restaurants since 2019. Last year, it held the 'Ilpum Ilmi Gumi Matjip Live Contest & Tasting Event.'

The newly introduced website and mobile app allow users to click on designated restaurants to view photos, operating hours, menu prices, as well as information on takeout and delivery availability, private rooms, children's play facilities, and parking all at once.

Features include search functions by 7 regions, 27 themes, and restaurants near tourist attractions, as well as nearby restaurant search on both the mobile app and web, navigation app integration, and call functions.

Additionally, it is organized for consumer convenience to include six representative food streets and complexes of Gumi such as Geumosan Baeksuk Alley, Geumridan-gil, and Jinpyeong Food Specialty Street, along with Gumi Bread Bakeumi, Anshim Restaurants, Model Restaurants, and Hygiene Grade Certified Establishments, all of which Gumi City holds trademark rights for.

Lee Myung-hee, Director of the Food Hygiene Division, stated, “Although the local commercial district is struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will spare no effort to support the widespread use of the Gumi Matjip website and mobile app.”
