If You Use Childcare Services During Holidays, Weekday Rates Apply
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 28th that family violence and youth counseling services will be operated 24 hours a day during the Lunar New Year holiday, and the childcare service fees will be applied based on weekday rates.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, the Ministry will operate the Women's Emergency Hotline 1366 and Sunflower Centers (31 locations excluding child-type centers) 24 hours a day, providing counseling and emergency protection services to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
To protect youth outside the home, 135 youth shelters nationwide will be open and operated 24 hours a day, and the Youth Counseling 1388 service will operate normally. Emergency counseling for at-risk youth and information services on using youth shelters will be provided.
Family issues such as family conflicts, pregnancy and childbirth conflicts, single-parent family support, and child support enforcement can be consulted through the Family Counseling Hotline. The Family Counseling Hotline operates normally from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Multicultural families and migrant women can receive counseling in 13 languages 24 hours a day at the Danuri Call Center. Services are provided in Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Tagalog (Philippines), Mongolian, Russian, Thai, Khmer (Cambodia), Japanese, Uzbek, Lao, Nepali, and English.
Childcare services will operate normally during the Lunar New Year holiday for working dual-income and single-parent families who go to work. In particular, during this Lunar New Year holiday, the 50% holiday surcharge will not be applied, allowing use at weekday rates.
