Senior-Only Discounts, Hair Salons Wanted to Operate Ulju-gun Hyo (孝) Hairshop!

70 Years Old and Above, 20~50% Fare Discount

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Ulsan Ulju-gun is recruiting beauty salons and barber shops to participate in the ‘Hyo (孝) Hairshop’ project until February 25.

The Hyo (孝) Hairshop project offers a 20~50% discount on beauty and barber service fees to seniors aged 70 and above living in Ulju-gun.

Seventy beauty and barber shops operate the Hyo Hairshop, and last year, 16,114 people visited these places to get their hair done.

Businesses wishing to participate can contact the Ulju-gun Hygiene Division to receive detailed information.

The county supports participating business owners with training on new beauty techniques and hygiene supplies, and plans to award performance bonuses and commendations from the head of the institution to outstanding operators.

A county official said, “We started this to provide small economic and psychological support to seniors,” adding, “It will serve as a model for respecting elders and practicing neighborly love.”
