[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jin Air announced on the 28th that it held an inaugural ceremony for the Gimpo~Sacheon route at Sacheon Airport.
At the ceremony, key officials including National Assembly members Ha Young-je and Kang Min-guk, Lee Sang-young, Chairman of Jinju City Council, Shin Jong-woo, Vice Mayor of Jinju City, and Choi Dae-hyun, Senior Deputy Governor of the Korea Development Bank, attended and participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and bouquet presentation to wish for successful operations.
Along with this, a commemorative event was held where the first passenger and a reservation customer on the Gimpo~Sacheon route each received a free round-trip domestic flight ticket.
Jin Air plans to deploy a 189-seat B737-800 aircraft on the Gimpo~Sacheon route, operating two round trips daily, supplying approximately 280,000 seats annually. The flight schedule departs from Gimpo Airport at 9:05 AM and 6:40 PM daily. From Sacheon Airport, flights depart to Gimpo Airport at 10:40 AM and 8:05 PM. The flight time is about one hour.
Jin Air stated, "We express our gratitude to all related organizations that spared no support in opening the air route connecting the Seoul metropolitan area with Jinju and Sacheon in western Gyeongnam," adding, "We will do our best to improve transportation convenience for local residents by providing safe and convenient air services at reasonable fares."
