[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] It was recently revealed that some members of the presidential delegation accompanying President Moon Jae-in on his visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Egypt tested positive for COVID-19.

A Blue House official stated on the 28th, "A small number of positive cases emerged among the security personnel who accompanied the president on the trip."

It is reported that these individuals boarded the presidential plane with President Moon upon returning to Korea. However, the Blue House said it cannot disclose specific information about the confirmed cases.

The Blue House also emphasized that this outbreak is not related to President Moon's work-from-home arrangement. The official explained, "Although the president is exempt from quarantine, even those exempt are advised to work from home for three days," adding, "President Moon is setting an example by adhering to this recommendation."
