[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City will hire 550 new public officials this year.
The city announced on the 28th that it will post the "2022 Local Government Public (Career) Competitive Recruitment Examination Plan" on the city’s website.
The recruitment of new public officials will be conducted separately for 519 open competitive positions and 31 career competitive positions.
By field, the recruitment includes ▲administrative positions 344 ▲technical positions 198 ▲research positions 7 ▲guidance positions 1. By rank, the recruitment includes ▲Grade 7: 18 ▲Grade 8: 43 ▲Grade 9: 481 ▲researcher: 7 ▲guidance officer: 1.
In recruitment, the city will separately hire 24 persons with disabilities (4.3% of total), 15 low-income individuals (3.2% of Grade 9 open competitive recruitment), and 6 high school graduates (30% of Grade 9 career competitive recruitment in technical positions) to expand public service opportunities for socially disadvantaged groups such as persons with disabilities and low-income groups.
This reflects the legally mandated hiring ratios of persons with disabilities (3.6%), low-income individuals (2%), and high school graduates (30% as recommended by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety).
In particular, this year, to quickly hire COVID-19 response personnel, the written exam for open competitive recruitment of nursing public officials will be advanced to April 30 (last year it was in June).
The city plans to select 43 Grade 8 nursing positions in the first recruitment exam. Applications will be accepted from next month 21st to 25th, and the written exam will be held on April 30. Final successful candidates in the written exam will undergo interviews in May, with results announced on May 31.
The second recruitment exam (Grade 9) will accept applications from March 21 to 25, followed by a written exam on June 18 and interviews in August, with final results announced on August 23.
The third recruitment exam (Grade 7) will accept applications from July 18 to 22, with a written exam on October 29 and interviews in December. The final results are scheduled to be announced on December 13.
Applications can only be submitted through the Local Government Internet Application Center, and applicants with disabilities or pregnant applicants can request accommodations depending on the type of disability.
