SK Hynix, Last Year's Sales Reach 42.9 Trillion Won... Record High Performance (Update)

Dividend of 1,540 Won per Share Decided

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] SK Hynix posted record-high sales last year thanks to the semiconductor boom.

On the 28th, SK Hynix announced that its sales last year reached 42.9977 trillion won, a 34.8% increase compared to the same period the previous year. This surpassed the 40.4451 trillion won in sales recorded during the 2018 semiconductor supercycle, setting an all-time high sales record. Operating profit rose 147.6% to 12.4103 trillion won.

SK Hynix also decided on a dividend of 1,540 won per share. The total dividend payout amounts to 1.0589 trillion won.

SK Hynix plans to return about 50% of the free cash flow generated over the three years from this year through 2024 as resources to conduct quarterly dividends. The formula for annual cash dividends remains the same as before, paying a fixed dividend plus an additional dividend of 5% of the annual free cash flow performance, but the fixed dividend has been raised by 20% from 1,000 won per share to 1,200 won per share.
