Enjoyable Travel Destination Gimhae 'Cloudberry' ... Selected as a 'Recommended Travel Spot for February'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Korea Tourism Organization has selected Cloudberry in Gimhae City as a recommended travel destination for February.

Cloudberry is a smart farm village themed around strawberries, located in Gonji Village, Chilsanseobu-dong. It is an experiential tourist site where families can warmly enjoy nature together even in the cold winter, and interact in English with native speakers, combining nature and education.

Greenhouse strawberries in the Gimhae area are famous for their high quality, boasting a sweet fragrance, high sugar content, and firm flesh due to the good soil and climate conditions suitable for strawberry cultivation.

The Cloudberry strawberry experience includes harvesting pesticide-free strawberries by hand, with a cooking package available for 400g of harvested strawberries. Using a smart farm hydroponic method, visitors can pick strawberries while standing, and after harvesting, they can make strawberry cakes or strawberry chocolates.

A Gimhae City official said, “There are also related tourist sites such as Jangyusa Temple and Yulha Historic Experience Center connected to Cloudberry,” adding, “Depending on the social distancing level at the time of visit, opening status, hours, and viewing methods may change, so checking detailed information in advance will make the trip more enjoyable.”
