[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Samsung Electronics stated during its Q4 earnings conference call on the 27th that "2022 will be a year when foldable smartphones become mainstream and the 5G market fully takes off," expressing a positive market outlook.

They added, "Flagship smartphones will focus on the foldable Z series to capture the MZ generation, women, and competitors' customers, thereby expanding the user base," and "We will expand the S series, utilize the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE) to broaden the premium base, and improve the product mix."

They continued, "We will focus on enhancing customer value by strengthening the best hardware (HW), software (SW), and the Galaxy ecosystem," emphasizing, "We will also reinforce marketing throughout the year to solidify our position as a premium brand."
