[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Lotte Construction announced on the 27th that it signed a "Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Real Estate Development Projects" with Mirae Asset Securities on the 26th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both companies, including Ha Seok-ju, CEO of Lotte Construction, and Choi Hyun-man, Chairman of Mirae Asset Securities.
Through this agreement, the two companies will establish an investment corporation through joint investment as strategic partners in real estate development projects and will discover new real estate development projects in the global market, including Korea. Lotte Construction will be responsible for project planning, design review, construction, and construction management, while Mirae Asset Securities will provide financing and financial advisory services.
Ha Seok-ju, CEO of Lotte Construction, said, "This agreement has secured stable financing and a business structure," adding, "We look forward to entering new markets such as advanced countries in the future, discovering sustainable real estate development projects, and further strengthening our capabilities as a comprehensive developer."
Choi Hyun-man, Chairman of Mirae Asset Securities, said, "We will create innovative synergy by combining Mirae Asset Securities' diverse real estate development achievements and proven financing capabilities with Lotte Construction's unparalleled capabilities as a global comprehensive construction company."
