"Looks pretty and sexy" Texts Sent to Female Middle School Student by 30s Teacher, Police Seize Phone for Investigation

"Looks pretty and sexy" Texts Sent to Female Middle School Student by 30s Teacher, Police Seize Phone for Investigation Busan Yeonje Police Station.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A male teacher in his 30s at a middle school in Busan is under investigation for repeatedly sexually harassing female students.

After it was revealed that he sent inappropriate messages and had conversations with students, as well as committed sexual harassment, the school requested a police investigation. The police have seized the teacher’s mobile phone and are conducting forensic analysis.

On the 27th, according to Yeonje Police Station in Busan and a local broadcasting media outlet, Teacher A at a middle school in Yeonje-gu sent inappropriate and sexual SNS messages to female students.

He sent explicit messages such as “You’re pretty,” “It’s fine if you’re only pretty in my eyes,” and “You look sexy,” and was also known to have made derogatory comments about their appearance without hesitation.

One female student told her parents about remarks from Teacher A such as “Why are you wearing a skirt when your legs are fat?” and “I’ve slept with a minor before.”

Another female student reported that when Teacher A kept trying to pull the clothes she was covering her skirt with, a friend nearby protested, saying, “Why are you doing that? Please stop,” to which Teacher A responded, “You have nothing to see anyway.”

A parent of a student who reported the abuse said, “I believe this is a typical grooming sexual crime that exploits the psychology of students who cannot resist,” and demanded punishment for the teacher.

In early January, when parents of the victims protested, a school official angered the consulting parents by responding, “The teacher is handsome. He has the idol style that the kids like.”

Amid parents’ criticism that the school’s lukewarm response could lead to secondary harm, the school belatedly reported the case to the education office and police, and the teacher has been excluded from classes.

A school official said, “According to the teacher’s explanation, he said those things to be friendly and did not intend to do anything to the kids.”

The police conducted a search of Teacher A’s residence and began digital forensic analysis of his mobile phone.
