[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] SJ Power (CEO Shin Hang-cheol) has been producing its own brand ‘Singgeurami Mask’ using 100% domestically sourced materials since last year. The mask is lint-free and comfortable to wear, and has received certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as well as the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in the Quality Innovation category at the ‘Korea Industry Awards’ last year.

Furthermore, it has passed the NIOSH (U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) testing in Malaysia, gaining recognition for its high quality not only domestically but also internationally.

As a result, since starting exports to Thailand in March last year, the company has expanded exports to Malaysia and Vietnam as of January this year, exporting approximately $170,000 worth (700,000 masks) overseas.

Additionally, ongoing negotiations and consultations for exports are underway with countries such as India, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Russia, raising expectations for more export opportunities in the near future.

Alongside this, SJ Power has conducted a mask donation relay event, donating about 500,000 masks to various vulnerable social groups in Korea. Last October, the company donated 100,000 domestically produced masks through the Myanmar Embassy, and on the 26th, donated 300,000 masks to Laos through the Laos Embassy, attracting attention.

The company plans to continue donating masks to economically challenged countries such as Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia, promoting the excellence of K-quarantine supplies and steadily expanding small initiatives for practicing a global community where all families on Earth live together.
