Basics of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Including Gout and Cholesterol Tests

Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will expand the service items of the "Visiting Obstetrics and Gynecology" program starting this year.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is expanding the service items of the "Visiting Obstetrics and Gynecology" program this year to provide customized tests according to life cycles.

This is aimed at providing tailored health checkups not only for pregnant women but for all women, including women preparing for pregnancy, women of reproductive age maintaining health, women preparing for old age, and male spouses.

Specialized medical staff, including obstetrics and gynecology specialists, conduct the examinations. A specially designed mobile clinic bus is equipped with 3D ultrasound diagnostic devices, electrocardiographs, bone density testers, mammography equipment, and chest X-ray machines to offer free women's health screenings.

The test service items have been reorganized to include additional tests such as gout screening and cholesterol tests according to the target group, enabling management of diseases appropriate to each life stage.

Last year, 663 individuals received medical services, and in 2022, the program plans to operate a total of 65 sessions by visiting towns and townships within the region.
