Hwasun-gun Implements 'Seol Holiday Comprehensive Measures'... Strengthening COVID-19 Prevention

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, is implementing a comprehensive plan for the Lunar New Year holiday.

The county announced on the 26th that on the 25th it decided to promote a comprehensive plan including ▲strengthening COVID-19 quarantine ▲disaster and accident safety measures ▲enhancing traffic safety ▲price stabilization and protection of low-income residents.

The county plans to minimize inconveniences in six areas such as COVID-19 quarantine, safety of vulnerable facilities, traffic safety, and garbage collection by operating 11 sector-specific task forces and town/village situation teams.

During the holiday, the COVID-19 Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters will lead a rapid response through organic cooperation with screening clinics and epidemiological response teams.

Special inspections on COVID-19 quarantine status will also be conducted for priority management facilities (entertainment venues, restaurants, PC rooms, etc.).

The public health center will operate an emergency medical situation room to provide prompt and appropriate initial response in case of emergencies.

To prepare for emergency patients, 55 emergency medical institutions and emergency treatment hospitals/clinics, as well as 22 pharmacies that will be open, have been designated.

In cooperation with Jeollanam-do, safety inspections have been completed for multi-use facilities vulnerable to fire (passenger facilities, traditional markets).

A waste disposal plan for the Lunar New Year is also being implemented.

In the case of Hwasun-eup, waste will be collected normally on the 29th and 30th, when the holiday begins, and on the last day of the holiday, the 2nd of next month.

For the other two days, a mobile disposal team will be organized to promptly respond to waste disposal complaints, and in the township areas, waste will be collected for 1 to 3 days according to local circumstances.

A county official said, “For the health of yourself and your family, please refrain from visiting your hometown or relatives as much as possible, and if you must visit, please do so in small groups after receiving the third vaccination. We will carry out the comprehensive Lunar New Year holiday plan without fail to promptly respond to quarantine, safety, and daily inconveniences.”
