[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Choi Woo-seok, Executive Director of the Electrification Testing Center at Hyundai Motor Group, received the Green Mobility Award, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, at the ‘2022 Korea Green Mobility Awards’ held with the aim of leading the green mobility market, which is emerging as the biggest battleground in the global automotive industry.


Hosted by Asia Economy and supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Environment, the Korea Green Mobility Awards is an event that selects and honors individuals and companies who have made significant achievements in technology development related to green mobility over the past year.


Executive Director Choi, who received the Green Mobility Award, was recognized for his contribution to the development of the motor, power conversion, and battery (Power Electric·PE) systems for Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP. The Technology Award (Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award) was given to Hyundai Mobis, and the Mobility Innovation Award (Minister of Environment Award) was awarded to POSCO and Kakao Mobility, respectively. In addition, the Mobility R&D Award (Chairman of Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association Award) went to Renault Samsung, and the Mobility Technology Award (President of Asia Economy Award) was given to Korea GM. The Smart Green Award (President of Asia Economy Award) was awarded to Hyosung, and the New Mobility Award (President of Asia Economy Award) was given to SK Telecom.
