[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Shinhan Bank announced on the 25th that it will hold an event for individual IRP to celebrate being the first bank in the banking sector to surpass 30 trillion KRW in retirement pension reserves and ranking first in 6 out of 9 types and periods of returns.
The individual IRP is a pension product for retirement security that offers tax benefits on contributions up to 7 million KRW annually, allowing a maximum tax credit benefit of 1,155,000 KRW, making it a representative tax-saving product. As of the end of December last year, Shinhan Bank recorded 30.1787 trillion KRW in retirement pension management reserves. Among the 9 returns for DB type, DC type, and individual IRP over 1-year, 5-year, and 10-year periods, 6 returns ranked first in the banking sector, showing strength in mid- to long-term returns.
The event, named "Fill Your IRP in the New Year," runs until March 31 and offers Shinsegae gift certificates worth 1 million KRW (5 winners) and Starbucks Americano gifticons (3,000 winners) by lottery to customers who meet one of the following conditions for their individual IRP accounts: ▲deposit of 10 million KRW or more from retirement pay or contract transfer amount ▲new subscription of 100,000 KRW or more ▲new registration of automatic transfer of 100,000 KRW or more (for 12 months or longer).
