Samyang Foods Signs Business Agreement with Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Branch Samyang Foods announced on the 25th that it signed a business agreement with Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Branch to promote child welfare and donated a scholarship fund of 10 million KRW raised by the company and its employees through a matching grant program. [Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon]Samyang Foods announced on the 25th that it signed a business agreement with Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Branch to promote child welfare and delivered a scholarship fund of 10 million KRW raised through a matching grant method by the company and its executives and employees.


On the 24th, at the headquarters in Hawolgok-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, the open business agreement ceremony was attended by Kim Jeong-su, Vice Chairman of Samyang Foods, Seo Eun-kyung, Director of Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Branch, and others.


Based on the business agreement, Samyang Foods plans to strengthen its collaborative relationship with Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Branch and expand the scope and scale of sponsorship. In addition to in-kind donations such as product donations that have been carried out previously, support will be expanded to child rights protection and education projects, and crisis family support projects promoted by Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Branch.


Good Neighbors is a global child rights specialized NGO, and the Seoul Northern Branch oversees six districts in northeastern Seoul, including Seongbuk-gu where Samyang Foods’ headquarters is located, Gangbuk, Nowon, Dobong, Dongdaemun, and Jungnang, and is carrying out various projects to improve the rights and welfare of children in the region. Since last year, Samyang Foods has built a collaborative relationship and donated products worth about 5 million KRW, including ramen and snacks.


Vice Chairman Kim said, “We will actively support providing practical help to children in the region and enabling them to continuously nurture their dreams,” and added, “We will continue to promote various social contribution activities through collaboration with related organizations and practice ESG management.”
