Martial Arts, First Online Export Consultation of the Year Held... Chinese Buyers Participate

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 25th that it held the first virtual export consultation meeting of the year at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations, the consultation meeting was attended by 21 major consumer goods distribution buyers from the Chinese-speaking region and 45 domestic manufacturing companies. In particular, seven sports equipment manufacturers participated, anticipating the special demand from the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics next month, along with many companies in food, beauty products, and other sectors.

Kim Hyuncheol, Head of KITA's Global Cooperation Division, stated, "This year, we plan to continuously hold export consultation meetings throughout the year by leveraging various domestic and international events such as overseas Hallyu concerts, the Seoul International Sports Leisure Industry Expo, the World IT Show, the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and the 30th anniversaries of Korea-China and Korea-Vietnam diplomatic relations. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, we will flexibly operate online and offline overseas marketing activities to support our companies."

Export consultation meetings and other support projects held throughout the year by KITA can be found on the Trade Association's website. Participating companies in the export consultation meetings receive support such as buyer matching, virtual consultation equipment, interpretation, and sample transportation costs.
