[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gangwon Province, which was the first in the nation to implement the electronic entry system 'Clean Gangwon Passport' to prevent the spread of COVID-19, will introduce a 'Unified Clean Gangwon Passport' starting from the 28th. This new system allows users to verify not only electronic entry but also quarantine pass records with a single authentication.

According to the province on the 24th, as of December last year, there were 715,163 app subscribers and 45,078 affiliated businesses. Currently, information linkage work is underway with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency for program advancement projects.

The province plans to establish the 'Clean Gangwon Passport' as a service encompassing both tourism revitalization and quarantine systems through continuous app enhancements.
