[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do has appointed 10 village residents who have returned to farming and rural living as 'Return-to-Farming and Rural Living Village Writers.'

According to the county on the 24th, the village writers, who began their activities on January 1 this year, were selected as 10 people through an open recruitment last December, distributed across the eup and myeon areas.

They are conducting field surveys and reporting on topics such as introducing rural villages and local culture, as well as guiding farming sites and tourist attractions.

From the perspective of returnees to farming, they introduce information that urban residents are interested in and rural life in a more friendly and realistic manner.

Village writers receive a modest manuscript fee within a limit of 150,000 KRW per month depending on the number of content pieces produced, and they provide more than five pieces of diverse information every month.

A county official stated, "We will foster village writers to actively communicate with urban residents and serve as guides so that many urban residents can stably return to farming and rural living in our region."

Last year, 10 village writers in Jangheung-gun produced and provided 206 pieces of local information content, and related materials can be viewed on the Return-to-Farming and Rural Living Comprehensive Center website or the village writers' SNS.
