[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongseo University has been awarded the highest grade, A, in the 2020 Overseas Employment Training Project K-Move School operator evaluation conducted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, marking its fourth consecutive year receiving an A grade from 2017 to 2020.
The Human Resources Development Service of Korea announced the results of the 2020 overseas employment training courses and operator evaluations on the World Job Plus website on the 20th.
The evaluation was conducted on a total of 82 operating institutions and 183 training courses that participated in the 2020 overseas employment training project, and among the 82 institutions, only 17 received an A grade.
Dongseo University has been promoting overseas employment projects for 18 years since 2004, dispatching over 1,500 students to more than 20 countries.
The university was the first among nationwide universities to be selected as a K-Move School operating institution and currently operates the largest K-Move School nationwide.
In 2021, it received the Presidential Citation in the youth overseas advancement category, and in 2019, it was awarded the Korea Employment Information Service Director's Award in the overseas employment field, as well as multiple awards including the Prime Minister's Award in 2016.
Song Kang-young, Director of the Student Employment Support Office, said, “Our university’s Student Employment Support Office has established an overseas employment roadmap and systematically supports overseas employment programs from the lower grades,” adding, “We will strengthen support for the K-Move School overseas employment training courses to further nurture global talents.”
