[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A man who attacked a dental clinic director with a blunt weapon and fled after visiting the clinic in the past was caught by the police.
According to the police on the 24th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul arrested and is investigating a man in his 30s, Mr. A, on charges including special assault.
Mr. A is accused of violently attacking the head and hands of the director, Mr. B, of a dental clinic in Seoul with a blunt weapon he had prepared in advance at around 4:51 PM on the 17th, and then fleeing. Mr. A demanded the staff to call the director, and when the director came out to the reception desk, he committed the crime. Mr. B was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident and received treatment.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he committed the crime due to dissatisfaction with treatment he received four years ago.
The police analyzed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and tracked Mr. A's movements, arresting him near his home in Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 21st.
